Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of every child we teach comes first.

Last updated 20 October 2026

Our commitment

Erudite Academy works with children and young people, online and in schools across Hong Kong. Every child, whatever their age, ability or background, has the right to learn in an environment where they are safe, respected and listened to. We take every concern seriously and follow Hong Kong guidance on child protection.

Our educators

  • Educators are interviewed and their references checked before they teach with us.
  • Where applicable, educators complete a Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC).
  • Educators are briefed on our safeguarding expectations and how to raise a concern.

Online sessions

  • Live online classes are taught in small groups on our own class links, not on public links.
  • Educators do not contact students privately on personal accounts or social media.
  • Messages about students under 18 go through their parents, guardians or school.

In schools

When we teach on a school campus, we follow that school’s own safeguarding and child protection procedures, alongside our own.

Photos, recordings and student work

We publish a student’s photograph, recording or work only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle children’s personal data.

Raising a concern

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child in one of our programmes, please contact our safeguarding lead straight away at contact@eruditeacademy.co or on +852 5689 0166. Every concern is treated confidentially and passed to the appropriate authorities when needed.

  • If a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 999.
  • For advice on child protection, call the Social Welfare Department hotline on 2343 2255.
